 In 1951, all Buicks pickup the side trim treatment similar to the 1950 Roadmasters. The grille was pulled back into the grille opening and no longer protruded over the bumper. Two smaller bumper guards were added between the large "bombs" on either end of the grille opening. Minor horsepower gains were tweaked out of the inline eights.
