Appearance alterations for 1947 involved moving the nameplates and
dropping the round parking lights to below the headlights. They
dropped the red tracer paint on the grille. But after 4 years of
having to do without, people would were ready to buy whatever was
put on the showroom floors. Ford sold over 429,000 cars in 1947.
